New Delhi: Authorities began dismantling the illegal construction of a mosque in northwest Delhi's Mangolpuri neighbourhood on Sunday, according to an official. The action is in accordance with a Delhi High Court judgement.
According to officials, only illegal structures are being dismantled. To maintain order, a large number of police officers have been sent to the area.
"We have deployed seven companies of paramilitary forces and Delhi Police personnel. No one will be allowed to breach law and order," a senior police officer said.
