Jaipur: The Rajasthan Education Department has suspended four teachers for serious negligence in handling Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) answer sheets, citing violations of confidentiality and evaluation protocols.
The suspensions were issued late Monday by Ashish Modi, Director of the Education Directorate, Bikaner, following reports of mismanagement during the ongoing evaluation process.
Among those suspended, two teachers are from Alwar district, while the other two are from the Didwana-Kuchaman area in Nagaur district.
In Alwar, senior mathematics teacher Omprakash Gai Saini from Government Higher Secondary School, Railway Station, allegedly left RBSE Secondary Examination answer sheets unattended in front of interns during evaluation.
Meanwhile, Meenakshi Arora, a Hindi literature teacher at the same school, allegedly photographed open answer sheets and shared them with media outlets.
Both Saini and Arora have been suspended immediately for breaching confidentiality and neglecting their duties. Additionally, Saini has been barred from evaluating answer sheets for the next three years.
During their suspension, both teachers have been reassigned to the District Education Officer’s (DEO) office in Alwar.
In Nagaur district, senior Sanskrit teacher Bhanvruddin of Government Higher Secondary School, Bagot (Didwana-Kuchaman), allegedly enlisted his colleague Pradeep Kumar Sharma from Government Higher Secondary School, Nimbari (Makrana), to manipulate marks on answer sheets. In a startling revelation, Sharma even involved his father in the process.
Both teachers have been suspended immediately for undermining the integrity of the evaluation process and have been reassigned to the District Education Officer’s (DEO) office in Nagaur during their suspension.
The Education Department reiterated the importance of confidentiality, transparency, and accountability in the board examination system and warned that stringent action would continue against any violations.
