New Delhi: A short video of an IndiGo air hostess sharing with the passengers her heart-felt thoughts about her mother, who herself of the cabin crew on the same flight, has warmed up many hearts on social media on Mother’s Day.
The airliner, according to NDTV, has shared a hearty video of the event which quickly made rounds on social media.
The airhostess begins the video by introducing herself as Nabira Sashami to the passengers over microphone, before introducing her mother.
She shared the excitement of seeing her mother in uniform first time aboard as a member of the same cabin crew.
‘I have seen her in the cabin doing all the work and today I am in her shoes. This past six years, I have seen her talking on this PA, and today, finally, the day has come when I am talking on behalf of her. I hope I make her proud today,’ Sashmi reportedly said.
The mother was shedding tears as her daughter talked, before planting a kiss on the daughter’s cheek.
Meanwhile, passengers can be heard cheering and clapping their hands in response to the outpouring of love between them.
Many on social media thanked IndiGo for allowing both the mother and daughter work together on the same flight.
Social media users also could not hold back their admiration for the mother and daughter with one person saying ‘ It made my day’.
Another user appreciated the airliner for ‘Good gesture by Indigo roster dept for putting Mom n Daughter on the same flight on Mom's Day’.
A fourth user was simply overwhelmed: ‘I was crying watching this. Proud moment for a mom-daughter.’
