All-party delegation led by MP Supriya Sule during their visit to the Shura Council, Qatar’s legislative authority, as part of Operation Sindoor’s global outreach in Doha.
Kuwait City/Doha: In a significant diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor, India’s all-party parliamentary delegations have arrived in Kuwait and Qatar to reinforce the country’s zero-tolerance stance against terrorism and expose cross-border terror infrastructure backed by Pakistan.
After concluding a productive visit to Bahrain, a multi-party delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Baijayant Jay Panda arrived in Kuwait on Monday for a two-day engagement. The visit forms part of Operation Sindoor—India’s international effort to highlight its firm response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader stand against terrorism. The eight-member delegation was received at the airport by Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Adarsh Swaika.
“The All-Party delegation led by Baijayant Panda arrived in Kuwait carrying India’s resolute message of #ZeroTolerance and #NewNormal against terrorism,” the Indian Embassy in Kuwait announced on X. Earlier, the Embassy also posted, “#PahalgamTerrorAttack #OperationSindoor #FightAgainstTerror #NeverForgetNeverForgive.”
The delegation in Kuwait comprises BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, and Satnam Singh Sandhu, along with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Indian diplomat Harsh Shringla.
During their prior visit to Bahrain, the delegation interacted with various segments of Bahraini society, including think-tanks like the International Institute for Strategic Studies and the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance. They presented India’s measured and non-escalatory military response to the Pahalgam attack and reaffirmed the nation's stand on cross-border terrorism. The delegation also held meetings with Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, and First Deputy Speaker Abdul Nabi Salman Ahmed, briefing them on the objectives and significance of Operation Sindoor.
BJP leader Panda noted, “India’s timeless ethos of tolerance, coexistence & respect for all was at the heart of our engaging session at the King Hamad Global Center. With our all-party delegation colleagues, we shared perspectives & reaffirmed the strong India-Bahrain bond built on shared values.”
Meanwhile, in Qatar, another Indian all-party delegation led by Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) MP Supriya Sule met members of the country’s top legislative body, the Shura Council, on Sunday. The Council expressed unequivocal support for India’s anti-terrorism stance, echoing the delegation’s message that terrorism in any form must be eradicated at its roots.
The Indian delegation in Qatar also included Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Anurag Thakur, V. Muraleedharan, Congress leaders Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma, Telugu Desam Party’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, Aam Aadmi Party leader Vikramjeet Singh Sawhney, and former diplomat Syed Akbaruddin. The delegation shared documentary evidence about Pakistan’s role in promoting and shielding terror operations and elaborated on India’s Operation Sindoor.
Supriya Sule, speaking to IANS, underlined the personal and national pain inflicted by terrorism, referencing the anguish of families affected by such violence. “Whenever I talk to them, the first thing they say is that whenever they close their eyes—even after many years—the entire scene comes vividly before them, and they still feel that moment of fear,” she said.
She added that the Qatari Parliamentarians shared India’s concern and views on fighting terrorism and maintaining zero tolerance for corruption. The visit, part of India’s broader diplomatic mission, also aims to rally international support against Pakistan’s misinformation campaign on global platforms.
Operation Sindoor, launched by India on May 7, was a calibrated military strike targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The Indian Armed Forces effectively responded to subsequent provocations from Pakistan, targeting airbases and asserting India’s firm stand against terrorism.
Seven delegations, each led by a Member of Parliament from different parties, have been dispatched as part of this initiative. These teams are visiting countries across the globe—including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union, Italy, Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Liberia, Congo, Sierra Leone, the United States, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, Russia, Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa—underscoring India’s comprehensive strategy to counter terrorism and misinformation through diplomatic engagement.
