MLA Raja Singh threatens to expose BJP leaders

Hyderabad: Amid speculation that he could face disciplinary action from the BJP leadership, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh reportedly stated on June 2 that he was unafraid of the possibility of receiving notices and even suggested that he would not be intimidated by suspension from the party.

He is said to have warned that if such action were taken against him, he would publicly reveal internal matters about party members.

These remarks were made in response to circulating rumours about his earlier comments, where he had implied that some BJP leaders might defect to the Congress if given packages.

Singh is believed to have alleged that a number of BJP MLAs and MPs were secretly meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and he reportedly accused the party of being dominated by a particular community, Siasat Daily reported.

He acknowledged having suggested that some leaders might switch sides for personal gain. According to sources, the BJP leadership is contemplating issuing formal notices over his statements.

Raja Singh has previously expressed concerns over the appointment of party in-charges in his constituency. He had already been suspended from the party for making comments criticising a stand-up comedian's performance.

Meanwhile, on Monday, he posted a video saying that he had received threatening phone calls after discussing cow slaughter in light of the forthcoming festive season.
