Nishikant Dubey said BJP may not even win 150 seats without Modi as its leader

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the central force behind the party’s consecutive victories in the Lok Sabha elections since 2014. In a recent interview with ANI, Dubey suggested that without Modi's leadership, the BJP might not have managed to secure even 150 seats in the Lok Sabha.

He also pointed out that Modi's leadership had helped the party gain support from communities and voter bases that had traditionally not aligned with the BJP, particularly among economically weaker sections.

According to Dubey, Modi's influence and the public's trust in him were instrumental in expanding the BJP's reach in several new states, the Indian Express reported.

Amid ongoing discussions about the BJP's future leadership, Dubey reportedly dismissed the possibility of anyone else taking over Modi’s role in the near future.

He stated that, in his view, Modi would remain the party’s guiding figure for the next 15–20 years, emphasising that the 2029 general election too would likely have to be fought under Modi’s leadership.

He further asserted that Modi’s name alone holds significant electoral value, reflecting the deep trust and admiration people have for him. Dubey concluded by saying that as long as Modi is physically able, his leadership would be essential in fulfilling the party’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
