New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' (PPC) has secured a place in the Guinness World Records for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The honour was conferred for the record-breaking 3.53 crore valid registrations during the 8th edition of the programme, held via the MyGov platform, a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Education and MyGov.
Launched in 2018, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' is a unique global platform where the Prime Minister interacts directly with students, parents, and teachers, offering advice and strategies to reduce examination-related stress. Over the years, it has redefined the exam season by promoting positivity, preparation, and a sense of purpose in learning.
The official Guinness World Records certificate was presented at a ceremony in New Delhi, attended by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jitin Prasada, Secretary of School Education and Literacy Sanjay Kumar, MyGov CEO Nand Kumarum, and other senior officials. The recognition was adjudicated and officially announced by Rishi Nath, a representative of Guinness World Records.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the initiative, calling it a “national movement” that has transformed the examination experience under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership. He noted that the 2025 edition reached an estimated 21 crore viewers across various media platforms, reflecting a nationwide commitment to holistic and inclusive education in line with the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw commended the initiative as a powerful tool to connect students, parents, and teachers, creating a foundation for stress-free and well-being-focused education. He said the record-breaking public participation demonstrated the impact and trust the programme has generated.
Minister Jitin Prasada lauded MyGov for leveraging digital technology to enhance citizen engagement. He stated that 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' had set a new benchmark for participatory governance through scalable digital innovation.
Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' encourages a shift from rote learning to experiential, stress-free education. It promotes critical thinking, emotional resilience, and balanced time management while addressing contemporary challenges such as digital distractions and exam anxiety.
Through personal and empathetic interactions, Prime Minister Modi has consistently offered practical guidance to help students navigate academic pressures and grow with confidence. Since its inception, the programme has evolved into a pan-India movement that views exams not as a burden but as an opportunity for self-expression and growth. Its inclusive approach, digital outreach, and transformative format have made 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' a defining feature of India’s student engagement landscape.
