Rajouri: An encounter broke out between terrorists and army personal in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, killing two terrorists who tried to breach the army camp here on Thursday.
Three army personnel laid down their lives and five soldiers also got injured in the exchange of fire as they foiled terrorists' suicide attack on an Army company operating base.
Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, as reported by ANI, said that exchange of fire took places as someone tried to cross the fence of the Army camp at Pargal in Darhal area of Rajouri and added that two terrorist were killed as additional parties dispatched to the location.
The operation has now ended, the Indian Army confirmed.
One of the injured includes an officer who has been rushed for medical treatment, ANI reported sourcing Indian Army official.
The report also said that the area is sanitized and 16 Corps Commander Lt Gen Manjinder Singh is constantly monitoring the situation on the ground.
