Morocco wins FIFA Arab Cup 2025 after extra-time win over Jordan in Qatar

Morocco lifted the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup in Doha after a 3-2 extra-time win over Jordan at Lusail Stadium, closing a tournament hosted by Qatar.

The final opened with Morocco controlling the early sequences, highlighted by Oussama Tannane’s strike from distance. Jordan shifted the match in the second half when Ali Olwan scored twice, putting the side in reach of its first regional title. Morocco brought the match level in the 88th minute through Abderrazzak Hamdallah, who later delivered the winning goal in the 100th minute.

H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, attended the match as the stadium filled for the concluding fixture of the competition.

H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Chairman of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 Local Organising Committee, said, "the FIFA Arab Cup represents the very best of our region, our passion for football, our shared identity, our rich, hospitable culture and our ability to come together on the global stage".

"This tournament also showcased the depth of skill and talent across the region, providing a platform for players to compete at the highest level", he added.

"We are proud to have delivered an event that belongs to the entire Arab world".

Qatar will also host the 2029 and 2033 editions, continuing a schedule supported by the country’s exceptional organizational capabilities for world-class football.
