Saudi Arabia’s Konoz initiative releases documentary film, ‘The Destination’

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media, through its Konoz Initiative, has released a new documentary, “The Destination”. The film showcases the Kingdom’s recent achievements in politics, economics, sports and culture, while highlighting the progress of its Vision 2030 reform plan.

“The Destination” captures Saudi Arabia’s transformation journey and its rise as a global destination. It features large-scale projects across various regions, celebrating national growth and innovation. The film also focuses on real-life stories that show the strength and diversity of the Saudi people.

The film includes appearances by well-known Saudi and international figures such as HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud, Mazen Al-Sudairi, Jerry Inzerillo and Dr. Firas Khalil. Their insights offer viewers a deeper understanding of the Kingdom’s direction and ambitions.

The Destination is now available to watch on Shahid, STC TV, Saudi TV channels and the official platforms of the Ministry of Media and Konoz. It aims to create global awareness about the scale and impact of Saudi Arabia’s reforms.

The production was first announced during the Impact Makers Forum (ImpaQ) in December 2024. It is part of a larger effort by the Ministry to support local storytelling, with contributions from nine national studios, 80 specialized firms and more than 2,600 professionals.

Konoz operates under the Vision 2030 Human Capability Development Program. Its mission is to document the richness of Saudi culture, the strength of its heritage and the success of its people. Past productions from Konoz include widely acclaimed titles such as Hard Phase, Station 7, Seagull of Arabia, and Saudi Atlas. The initiative has also produced short films like Raee Al-Ajrab and Safraa’s Night. Many of these films have been featured at international film festivals and received prestigious awards.
