Sharjah: A music band competition under the title ‘Campus Beats’ is being launched for school students in the UAE. The event aims to promote creativity and encourage young musical talent.
The competition is part of the seventh edition of ‘Come On Kerala’, the Middle East’s largest Indian trade, entertainment and cultural fair, organized by Gulf Madhyamam.
The expo will be held at the Sharjah Expo Centre on May 9, 10 and 11, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The contest is being organized in the context of the UAE marking 2025 as the ‘Year of Social Responsibility’. All recognized schools in the UAE are eligible to participate.
Each participating school must form a music band. The performance should be based on the theme ‘Year of Social Responsibility’.

Ten teams will be selected as finalists. These teams will get the chance to perform live on the Come On Kerala stage in front of a large audience.
A judging panel featuring leading music directors will evaluate the final performances. The winning team will receive special prizes during the event.
