Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has written a personal message to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum after the Dubai Ruler's recent travel on the Etihad Rail passenger train from Dubai to Fujairah.
Sheikh Theyab, who chairs the Board of Directors of Etihad Rail and serves as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs’ Families, described the visit as an important moment for everyone working on the project.
In the message, Sheikh Theyab expressed his deep appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed, addressing him as “father".
He said that Sheikh Mohammed's ongoing role in the country’s development continues to motivate government teams throughout the Emirates.
“You’ve redefined the standards of government work in the UAE", he wrote.
“You’ve worked tirelessly, day and night, to place our nation at the top ranks globally, only to humbly credit the various teams behind the success".
He added that Sheikh Mohammed’s presence aboard the train left a strong impression on the thousands of workers involved in building the network.
“You lifted spirits and showed appreciation to everyone involved,” Sheikh Theyab said.
“We hope to always meet your expectations and continue working on national projects in a way that pleases our leadership and fulfills their aspirations for the people of our beloved UAE".
The message also reflected Sheikh Theyab’s long-standing admiration for Sheikh Mohammed’s approach to governance.
“You’ve always led by example,” he said.
“You (pay attention) to every detail — large or small — in our country's development journey".
Sheikh Mohammed’s journey on the Etihad Rail train offered a close look at the progress of the national railway, which is expected to connect 11 cities across the country and carry millions of passengers annually once completed.
