UAE intercepts 12 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles and 19 drones in 24 hours

The UAE intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles and 19 drones launched from Iran over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence said on Monday.

Since February 28, when the attacks began, air defence systems have engaged 519 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles and 2,210 drones.

In Fujairah, authorities said they responded to an incident involving a drone that targeted a du telecommunications building. No injuries were reported.

In Abu Dhabi, one person was injured by shrapnel after an interception over the Raneen Systems facility in the Mussaffah industrial area. Officials said a Ghanaian national sustained moderate injuries.



Separately, Borouge said production has been suspended in parts of its facility in Ruwais Industrial City after falling debris from an interception sparked three fires at the site
