Jeff Bezos loses his world's 2nd richest title to Oracle's Larry Ellison

New Jersey: Forbes’s World’s Billionaires List states that Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos lost his world’s second richest title to Oracle’s Larry Ellison. Adding $26 billion to his net worth, Ellison’s total reached $243 billion on Thursday, which is the largest single-day gain by any billionaire. Thus, Ellison surpassed Bezos and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and he is only trailing Tesla CEO Elon Musk. When Bezos's net worth is $227 billion, Zuckerberg’s net worth is $239 billion, and Musk’s net worth is $407.3 billion, Forbes reports.

Earlier this week, Oracle reported blockbuster earnings, and the company’s stock rose past $200 billion for the first time.

It was in 2017 that Bezos became the second richest in the world for the first time. His fortune had reached $75.6 billion, surpassing investor Warren Buffet, then. In October 2024, he lost the title of second in the world to Meta’s Zuckerberg.

Elon Musk’s net worth saw a notable increase earlier this week after he publicly expressed regret for his critical social media post about US President Donald Trump.
