Miss Thailand Opal Suchata crowned Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad

In a spectacular celebration of elegance, beauty, and resilience, Thailand’s Opal Suchata was crowned Miss World 2025 during a glittering ceremony held in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant concluded with reigning queen Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic handing over the crown to Opal.

Dressed in a flowing white gown embellished with opal-inspired floral designs, Opal described her outfit as a tribute to the empowering journey of "Opal For HER." The gown, symbolizing healing and strength, reflected the gem’s qualities of beauty, resilience, and transformation.

Opal Suchata’s gown was more than just a fashion statement—it symbolized a tribute to every woman who dares to dream despite life’s challenges. “Just like the opal, I shine in my own light,” she wrote on Instagram, highlighting the deeper meaning behind her look, NDTV reported.

As Thailand celebrates Opal’s victory, India faced disappointment as its representative, Nandini Gupta, did not advance to the Top 8 finalists. The update was shared via Miss World's official Instagram page.

Nandini had previously impressed judges in the early stages, securing a spot in the Top 40 as one of 18 contestants who fast-tracked through to this stage. However, her journey ended before the final round.

This 72nd edition of Miss World also marked a significant moment in history, with India once again hosting the global event—this time in Hyderabad—after the successful 71st edition in Mumbai, where Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic was crowned.

On this memorable night, Krystyna passed the crown to Opal Suchata, who now steps into the role to continue the Miss World legacy.
