President Trump’s $45 million military parade flops, lacking in coordination

New York: American troops marching for US President Donald Trump's military parade on Saturday looked like having no coordination and spirit.

The soldiers were seen, in a footage, awkwardly marching down Constitution Avenue to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Army.

The first of its kind event in the country since 1991 with over 6,600 soldiers alongside tanks and robot dogs cost approximately $45 million.

With the footage of the event surfaced, social media users began mocking it for lacking coordination.

The march took place in front of a tiny crowd with the President saluting every passing contingent.

President Trump was joined by his wife, Melania Trump and other members of his administration and military leaders for the parade.

‘Tonight, we affirm with unwavering certainty that in the years ahead, and in every generation hence, whenever duty calls and whatever danger comes, the American Soldier will be there,’ Trump was quoted as saying.

Not impressed by the event, many on social media questioned if the soldiers were at all willingly participating in the event.

One user said that recruits for boot camp could march ‘in formation better than this’.

Another user said ‘Even NCC Cadets in India perform better parade marches than the superpower America’.

Another user called the parade ‘underwhelming’, ‘250 year anniversary for the world's biggest military and they get troops trotting along out of sync, isolated tanks rolling through to complete silence, small crowd, no cool displays of precision marching or cool tech, and lame country music to cap it off. Embarrassing’.

Only a tiny crowd of spectators turned up at the venue where it was predicted that as many as 200,000 people would show up.

It was reported that even President Trump himself appeared downcast and bored just as a lackluster march passed the stage he was sitting on.
