Adani Energy Solutions secures ₹1,600-crore transmission project in Maharashtra
text_fieldsAdani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has announced the acquisition of a major interstate transmission project in Maharashtra valued at ₹1,600 crore.
The development pushes the company’s total transmission order book to ₹61,600 crore, according to an official statement released on Friday.
The newly awarded project involves the establishment of 3,000 Mega Volt-Amperes (MVA) of substation capacity, along with supporting transmission infrastructure. With this addition, AESL's transmission network now extends to 26,696 circuit kilometers (ckm) and a total transformation capacity of 93,236 MVA.
AESL aims to complete and commission the project by January 2028.
"This Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) project was secured under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework," the company noted, adding that REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) acted as the bid process coordinator.
A key entity within the Adani Group, AESL operates across several sectors within the energy space, including power transmission and distribution, smart metering, and sustainable cooling technologies.
