Coca-Cola experienced a sudden steep fall of 4 billion US dollar in its share price after ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo shifted off two bottles of the drink placed before him while attending a press conference at the Euros in Budapest on Monday, reports The Guardian. The share dropped 1.6% from 56.10 dollars to 55.22 dollars, and market value dipped from 242 billion dollars to 238 billion dollars.

36- year old C Ronaldo, a renowned health fanatic, had made it clear what he thinks of the carbonated soft drink, reads the Guardian report. He held a water bottle instead of the Coco-Cola and reportedly declared "Agua" in Portuguese, apparently encouraging people to choose water instead. The incident happened during the prelude of Portugal's, his team, match against Hungary.

But, Coco-Cola, one of the Official sponsors of Euro 2020, stated on Tuesday that everyone has their own preferences regarding their drinks with respect to their tastes and needs. A Euros spokesperson commented that players offered water along with Coca-Cola and Coco-Cola Zero sugar during press conferences.

Ronaldo has 300 million Instagram followers, and he is a pop-culture colossus. He had scored 2 of the three goals against Hungary, leading his team to a 3-0 win on Tuesday.
