New Delhi: Rohit Yadav, a Pune resident, shared online how four workplace habits he devised changed his life for better.

Taking to Instagram, Yadav said a few years ago despite working hard he ‘felt stuck’ without having any growth, The Indian Express reported.

‘A few years ago, I felt stuck. I was working hard, but it wasn’t translating into growth. That’s when I realised—doing good work isn’t enough. You need to be strategic about how you show it,’ he wrote.

Rather than going for a sweeping change, Rohit tried four deliberate habits, which changed how his works were perceived.

The first step was ‘weekly wins’ that stood for accomplishing three things each week, no matter how small they were.

This strategy enabled him to ‘track progress’ and gave him more clarity and confidence in communicating his work.

The next step was sending short ‘monthly manager updates’ summarising his work, results and lesson learned.

‘No fluff. Just outcomes. It made me visible without sounding like I was bragging,’ he said.

His third step was reframing how he sought feedback during one-on-ones, asking: ‘What do I need to improve to be seen as ready for the next level?’

This line of approach led him to having honest conversations alongside making his growth a shared goal.

The last step he tried was contributing to the meeting sharing his insight or suggestion, which helped others acknowledge his presence and initiative.

‘Silent contributors are easily forgotten—I didn’t want to be one of them,’ he wrote.

While many online praised his efforts, some pointed out that workplace culture should be open and supportive for such strategies.

One user claiming to have tried these strategies said ‘I have tried some of your points, especially 2, never worked for me. I believe you need to have a supportive manager who actually listens and cares’.
