Hyderabad: A case has been registered against actress Kalpika Ganesh by the Cyberabad Police for allegedly creating a public nuisance and damaging property at a pub in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli area. The incident occurred on May 29 at Odeum by Prism, though the FIR was filed on June 10 following a complaint by the pub’s General Manager.

According to the complaint, Kalpika Ganesh, accompanied by a male guest, consumed food and beverages amounting to ₹2,200. She allegedly insisted on receiving a complimentary dessert, specifically cheesecake. Though staff offered a brownie as a goodwill gesture, she reportedly refused to pay, became aggressive, and verbally abused the Deputy General Manager and the General Manager with defamatory, derogatory, and body-shaming remarks. She also allegedly threw a brownie plate, causing a scene and damage.

The FIR, registered at Gachibowli police station, states that the actress used abusive language toward the staff and later went live on Instagram, declaring she was doing it “for followers.” She also allegedly made false allegations of rape and molestation on social media platforms. Even in the presence of police, she reportedly refused to cooperate and hurled abuse at the officers on duty.

The complaint, lodged by Deepak Bajaj, Managing Partner of Prism Club and Kitchen, alleges that the actress’s actions resulted in reputational damage to the brand and its staff. He stated that she committed verbal and physical abuse, refused to pay for services, provoked public outrage through false narratives, and engaged in personal defamation involving staff and their families.

Police confirmed that a case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 324(4) (causing property damage between ₹20,000 and ₹1,00,000), 352 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace), and 351 (criminal intimidation). Authorities also noted that the pub’s management initially delayed filing the complaint to avoid conflict but proceeded with it due to the actress’s continued provocation and social media posts.
