Filmmaker duo Raj & DK’s highly anticipated fantasy series Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom has added Aditya Roy Kapur to its cast as the lead.

The project, first announced in July last year, also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.

Expressing his excitement, Aditya Roy Kapur shared that he was thrilled to join Raj & DK’s cinematic universe, calling their vision for the series "unique and genre-bending." The official Instagram handle of Dharma Cornerstone Agency confirmed the casting update with a series of photos featuring Kapur alongside the director duo.

Raj & DK, known for hit series like The Family Man, Guns & Gulaabs, and Farzi, shared their vision for Rakt Bramhand, stating, “At the heart of Rakt Bramhand is a character that demands strength, intensity, and a bit of wackiness, and Aditya brings all of that as the lead. He has been training hard to meet the demands of the role. Our goal is to create a world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we grew up hearing.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar also extended his best wishes to the team.

The fantasy action series, directed by Rahi Anil Barve and written by Sita R. Menon, will stream exclusively on Netflix.
