On his birthday, Akshay Kumar surprised fans with the announcement of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, marking his return to the horror-comedy genre.

The film also reunites him with acclaimed director Priyadarshan after a 14-year hiatus.

Sharing the first look on social media, Akshay expressed his excitement: "This dream collaboration has been a long time coming. I can't wait to share this incredible journey with you all."

The motion poster features Akshay posing with a bowl of milk, a black cat perched on his shoulder, while eerie music plays in the background, building suspense for the film.

Bhooth Bangla will be co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s production company and Ektaa Kapoor’s production house.

Akshay Kumar has a busy schedule with several projects lined up. He made a cameo appearance in Stree 2, hinting at a possible role in its next installment. Director Amar Kaushik revealed that Akshay’s involvement in Stree 3 would depend on the script.

Recently, Akshay was seen in Khel Khel Mein, alongside Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, and others, which competed at the box office against Stree 2 and Vedaa. Akshay's collaboration with Priyadarshan adds to their long list of successful films together, including Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala. Fans are eagerly awaiting this much-anticipated reunion.
