Doha: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy in Qatar. It is one of the rare honours bestowed on an Indian or international actor in FIFA's history.

According to Pinkvilla, Deepika is all set to leave for the World Cup. She is not the only Indian artist to grace Qatar's historic event. Dancer Nora Fatehi performed at the tournament recently at a packed stadium.

Deepika is having a good year as she represented India at Cannes Film Festival 2022 as a jury member. She was recently seen at the Mumbai airport while coming back from Assam after shooting the 2024 film Fighter starring Hritik Roshan and Anil Kapoor.

Deepika will be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Pathaan' which is set to release in January 2023. Fighter's team will pick up a second schedule after Pathaan is released. The highest-paid actress recently surprised everyone by appearing in the trailer of 'Cirkus' starring Ranveer Singh. She is expected to be seen in a dance number in the film.
