Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Navas passes away
text_fieldsKochi: Renowned Malayalam Actor Kalabhavan Navas was found dead in a hotel room in Chottanikkara here. He was 51.
The primary information is that he had a heart attack.
It is learned that Navas, the noted mimicry artist, singer and actor, reached his room after shooting. After he did not come out even after his time to check out, the room boy went to check and found him dead. The hotel room was booked for the shooting of the movie 'Prakambanam'.
Police have started inquest proceedings.
Nawaz entered the miniscreen and cinema through mimicry. He became well-known to Malayalis through the Kalabhavan Mimicry Troupe. He entered the cinema in 1995 with the film Chaitanyam. His major films include Mattupetti Machan, Mayajalam, Junior Mandrake, Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu, Kasaba, etc.
His wife is actress Rehana.
Nawaz was born in Vadakkancherry as the son of Abubakar, a theatre and film actor. Nawaz's brother Niaz Bakkar is also a well-known television and film actor. Navas joined Niaz in many stage shows.
