Man, woman attempted to sneak inside Salman Khan's arrested
text_fieldsMumbai: A man and a woman made separate attempts to enter Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence this week, and police informed that both were arrested. The man was identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh (23), and the woman, Isha Chhabra (32 attempted to enter Galaxy Apartments in Bandra (West) on Tuesday and Wednesday, NDTV reported.
The accused man is a resident of Chhattisgarh and was spotted roaming around Khan’s apartment around 9:45 am on Tuesday, police said. A policeman, who was deployed as security for the actor’s resident, had asked the accused to leave, but he smashed the officer’s cell phone on the ground in anger. It was that evening, around 7:15 pm, the accused entered the apartment, following a car belonging to a person who resided in the same building. However, the police caught him.
On interrogation, the accused claimed that he wanted to meet the actor. He also claimed that he attempted to sneak inside the residence because he was denied entry.
The woman accused managed to sneak in and reach the lift of the apartment around 3:30 am on Wednesday.
Police said that the two arrestees were charged with trespassing on cases against them.
On April 14 last year, two men on a motorcycle opened fire at Galaxy Apartments, and it was later revealed that the attack was attempted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. National Investigation Agency (NIA) had warned in 2023 that Khan was among the 10 main targets of the Bishnoi gang after his 1998 black buck hunting incident. The jailed gangster Bishnoi had said that the hunting incident had offended the Bishnoi community.
