Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has announced her presence in the upcoming Netflix anthology series 'Navarasa' which brings together a host of talent in the Tamil industry. The series was conceived by director Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan of Qube Cinema to raise funds for those in the industry whose livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic.

"9 emotions. 9 stories. 1 industry comes together for its people," Parvathy wrote on Facebook. "I dived deep into the unknown with one hell of a team for this one. Siddharth and director R.Rathindran Prasad, thank you [sic] for making me a part of this project."

Suriya, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Revathy, Nithya Menen, Parvathy, Aishwarya Rajessh, Poorna, Rythvika, Prakash Raj, Siddharth, Gautham Karthik, Ashok Selvan are also part of the project which features over 40 actors.

Each story is based on a particular 'rasa' such as anger, happiness and so on. Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Ponram, Rathindran Prasad and Halitha Shameem will utilise a rasa each to direct a particular story. This anthology is also Arvind Swami's directorial debut.

Since the purpose of the series is purely charitable, all actors and directors have agreed to donate the proceeds to the cause while also working for free.
