text_fieldsRamban: Three soldiers of Indian Army were killed after their vehicle fell into 700-feet-deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, NDTV reported.
The soldiers killed in the mishap were identified as Amit Kumar, Sujeet Kumar and Man Bahadur.
The visuals from the accident site showed wreckage of the vehicle in the gorge with bodies of soldiers, their belongings and some papers scattered around.
The accident is reported to have occurred near Battery Chashma around 11.30 am.
The truck was part of a convoy heading from Jammu to Srinagar along the National Highway 44.
The rescue operation, launched by Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local volunteers, is currently underway.
