New Delhi: India’s top officials including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and all three service chiefs are currently attending a meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence, NDTV reported.

The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes hours after India and Pakistan entered into ceasefire amid intense conflict.

Others in attendance include External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Deka, and Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) chief Ravi Sinha.

Meanwhile, the military operations chief of both countries are reported to be meeting on Monday in order to discuss measures to ‘de-escalate tensions’.

Tension between the neighours have spiraled since terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam on April 22 with India finding cross-border links to the attack.

Subsequently, India launched precision attack on the terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7.

It is reported that more than 100 terrorists were killed in Operation Sindoor.

Subsequently, Pakistan resorted to launching drones and missiles at western part of India which India successfully intercepted.

In the midst of fierce conflict on Saturday afternoon, both countries reached an agreement for ceasefire.

However, President Trump claimed before the announcement came that the talks between both parties were mediated by the US.

Just as tension comes down following ceasefire, authorities have decided to reopen 32 airports that were closed for civil flight operations during the conflict.
