New Delhi: BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya on Sunday accused Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav of holding multiple Election Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) and called the Opposition an “alliance of Pappus”.

Posting on X, Malviya wrote, “I still can’t believe Tejashwi Yadav once compared himself to Steve Jobs, only to now be exposed holding multiple EPICs! From fake comparisons to fake voter IDs, the hypocrisy is staggering.”

Tejashwi recently alleged that his name was missing from Bihar’s draft voter list, published on 1 August after a Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls. He claimed the Election Commission had changed his EPIC number and called it a “conspiracy to cut people’s names from the voter list”.

The Election Commission later clarified that it was “quite likely” that the second EPIC was never officially issued, raising doubts about its authenticity.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also accused Tejashwi of misleading the public and committing electoral fraud. “Tejashwi Yadav had enrolled himself in two constituencies. This is illegal. There must be a probe,” he said, sharing documents on social media.

Choudhary stated that Tejashwi has a long-standing voter record under EPIC number RAB0456228 in the Digha Assembly constituency of Patna, but questioned the authenticity of a second EPIC number, RAB2916120, which Tejashwi claimed. “Where did this second EPIC number come from? Is this an isolated case or is the entire RJD indulging in such activities?” he asked, calling it a “betrayal of democracy” that required a high-level investigation.

He also released details of Tejashwi’s voter records from previous elections, including the 2015 and 2020 Assembly polls and subsequent revisions, highlighting changes in booth and serial numbers over time.
