New Delhi: Delhi BJP workers, furious over Youth Congress activists' disruption at the India AI Impact Summit, scaled barricades Saturday in a massive protest outside Congress headquarters, calling for Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's public apology.

Led by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, hundreds chanted slogans against Gandhi and held placards branding him "anti-national" and a "traitor" for what they called a "shameful" attack on India's global image.

"The working style of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress is extremely regrettable. Turning an international platform -- the India AI Impact Summit -- into a medium for political opposition is condemnable," Sachdeva declared, leading a march from Man Singh Road roundabout to 24 Akbar Road.

He accused Gandhi of echoing "anti-India forces" abroad and sabotaging the country at home, urging an apology for "betraying" the nation. In a social media post, Sachdeva added: "Differences are natural in a democracy, but any attempt to harm India’s prestige at the international level is unacceptable. For such conduct and mindset, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party should publicly apologise to the country."

Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor highlighted the summit's economic promise—crores in benefits and thousands of jobs—calling the protest "frustration-driven hooliganism" that Delhiites won't forget, despite traffic chaos.
