According to s report in the Economic Times, India's most successful edtech startup Byju's may be pulling all its advertisements featuring Shahrukh Khan, their most known ambassador, after his son Aryan Khan was arrested on drug-related charges on October 2.

Byju's is one of the largest sponsorship deals for the Bollywood superstar but Mounting pressure on social media may have caused them to reconsider putting his face on their product at this time, the Times reported. The sponsorship deal is rumoured to run into 3-4 crores and has been active since 2017.

"Every time I open YouTube, Shahrukh Khan in one or the other get up keeps selling Byjus classes, possibly due to Google algorithm. With the money that he earns from promotion of education, he funds drugs for his son!!!! I pity the people who get influenced by such ads," tweeted a social media user.

Byju's is currently the most valued startup with a valuation of around $18 billion. It raised $300 million earlier this week as part of an ongoing funding round.
