New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry updated that India reported 1,421 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, raising the total cases load since the pandemic breakout to 4,30,19,453. The fresh update on Sunday at 8 am stated that the active case pool fell to 16,187, PTI reported.

A total of 6,20,251 tests were conducted, and the cumulative test count reached 78.69 crores. After adding 149 new deaths out of the disease, the total death toll reached 5,21,004.

The active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded as 98.75 per cent, the ministry said.

Now, the active cases is 0.04 per cent of the total infections reported, and the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75 per cent, the health ministry said. Five hundred fifty-four cases were reduced from the active case pool in 24 hours.

While the daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.23 per cent, the weekly positive rate reached 0.27 per cent.

The total number of recoveries reached 4,24,82,262, and the fatality rate recorded was 1.21 per cent.

In the case of vaccine coverage, the country has administered more than 183.20 crore vaccine doses through the national vaccination drive.

Meanwhile, the Indian Civil Aviation Ministry announced the resumption of scheduled international flights from Sunday after two years of pandemic induced suspension. As per the resumed schedule, 1,466 departures are planned per week, operated by six Indian airline companies and 60 overseas companies.
