E K Ramees elected national president of Fraternity Movement for 2025-2027

E.K. Ramees has been elected as the National President of the Fraternity Movement for the 2025-2027 term during the organisation's National General Council meeting held in Mapusa, North Goa. The council, which convened over two days, also elected the national executive and office bearers for the upcoming term.

Ramees, a research scholar at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi, hails from Velom in Kozhikode district, Kerala. He has previously served as the Kerala State Secretary and as a member of the National Secretariat of the Fraternity Movement.

The newly elected leadership includes Afreen Fathima, Lubaid Bashir, and Muhammad Alfouz as General Secretaries, while M.J. Sandra, Umar Farooq Qadiri, and Mateen Ashraf have been chosen as Vice Presidents. The elected Secretaries are Shaheen Ahmad, Rihana, Nida Parveen, Muhammad Inam, and Burhanuddin.

The election process was overseen by advisory committee members Subrahmani Arumugham and Shamseer Ibrahim at the National General Council meeting, which took place at Zakia Jafri Nagar in Mapusa.
