Towards the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has asked the Election Commission of India to instruct Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to use words "according to the Model Code of Conduct."

During the election campaign, the SP complained that the Chief Minister often referred to party members as "mafia" and "goons."

SP's "red cap" is symbolic of rioting and criminal activity, Yogi Adityanath said earlier this week.

According to Jayant Chaudhary, the chief of the RLD party, a Samajwadi Party ally, "Young people, farmers, and labourers are supporting the SP-RLD alliance, which is frustrating the BJP"..."His language doesn't fit with a post as Chief Minister. He is threatening us. He probably doesn't understand the mood in this region."

In Uttar Pradesh, there will be seven phases for the assembly election for 403 seats from February 10 to March 7. Election results will be counted on March 10.
