Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday afternoon after suffering from dehydration.

Hospital sources said Patnaik, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, is in a stable condition and responding well to treatment.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi wished him a speedy recovery, writing on X: “I came to know about the illness of the opposition leader, Honourable @Naveen_Odisha. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath for his speedy recovery and good health.”

Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling and Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan also visited the hospital to enquire about Patnaik’s condition.
