New Delhi: A Hindutva priest threatened to kill Muslim students, who were going to Uttar Pradesh at the Delhi railway station. The students were going to take the Darul Uloom Deoband examinations. The incident has drawn concern on social media, Siasat reported.

According to accounts shared by one of the students, the group had reached Delhi en route to Uttar Pradesh when the man approached them on the platform and issued threats linked to cow slaughter. A video of the incident, which surfaced online on March 26, shows the students standing quietly as the individual confronted them.

“Ay, gai ka hatya karo mat, ay gai ka hatya karo mat. Naito tera hatya karenge (Don’t kill a cow, don’t kill a cow. Or else I will kill you),” Siasat quoted the intruder.

The student who recorded the video described the encounter as targeted intimidation based on their religious identity, noting that members of the group were visibly identifiable as Muslims. He expressed concern that such provocations could escalate into confrontations that might put them at legal risk.

In his message, the student urged others travelling from different states for the same examinations to remain cautious. He advised them to avoid engaging with provocateurs, suggesting that such confrontations may be intended to incite angry reactions. He emphasised the importance of staying calm and prioritising safety when faced with similar situations.
