India’s Ministry of Defence announced a successful launch of the Agni-4 intermediate-range ballistic missile on Friday.

The test took place at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha, and met all technical and operational objectives, as confirmed by an official statement.

The launch was conducted under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), validating the missile's readiness for use.

This follows another successful test of the Agni-Prime, a new-generation ballistic missile, on April 4. Both tests were carried out in collaboration between the SFC and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The Agni series is a group of long-range, nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missiles developed by India, designed to bolster the nation’s strategic defense capabilities.
