IndiGo Flight returns to Tirupati after circling in air for 40 minutes
text_fieldsHyderabad: A Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight returned to Tirupati safely on Sunday after suffering a technical glitch.
The Airbus A321neo flight spent circling about 40 minutes in the air following technical issue, NDTV reported.
The air traffic tracking website Flightradar24 showed that the flight taking off from Tirupati Airport around 7.42 pm and returned to the same airport at 8.34 pm.
The plane, 6E 6591 took the U-turn when it reached above the Venkatagiri town in Tirupati.
Flightradar24 showed that the flight, which was the last scheduled for the day, hovered there for about 40 minutes before returning to Tirupati Airport.
According to the report, the flight was subsequently cancelled.
Footage being circulated that on social media showed passengers arguing with airlines staff over rescheduling.
The airline is yet to release an official statement on the incident, according to NDTV.
