New Delhi: Students of Jamia Millia Islamia students conducted a rally in solidarity with the resistance of the Palestinian people. The rally was conducted by student organisations such as Fraternity Movement, AISA, SIO, and DISSC on Friday afternoon.
The university administration locked down all campus gates and seized and destroyed posters and leaflets to prevent students from demonstrating their support. Outside the campus, Delhi police set up camp.
Ansab Amir, president of the Fraternity Movement, Jamia Millia Islamia said that the purpose of the rally was to expose the biased reporting of the Western media and convey the message that Zionism cannot defeat the Palestinian struggle.
