New Delhi: A police officer was cornered and assaulted by a crowd inside a police station in the city. The incident was captured on video by another cop. No one was seen trying to stop the attackers.
The shocking incident took place in the Anand Vihar Police Station in New Delhi on August 3.
It is not clear why the constable was beaten. In the video, the cop was seen asking for forgiveness repeatedly but the mob does not stop the attack. Police haven't yet identified the attackers. Around 10-12 attackers were involved in the incident.
The city police said they are investigating the matter and trying to catch the culprits. Officials said strict action will be taken against the attackers.
