Chennai: BJP functionary and car racer Alisha Abdullah has claimed that minorities were not given any representation in nominating them as office bearers for various wings of the party in Tamil Nadu, PTI reported.
Expressing disappointment over the lack of representation, she said the list of office bearers announced for various wings of the BJP on September 4 did not have a single Muslim.
It was on 4th September that Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran released the new list of key office-bearers for various party wings.
She claimed that she joined the BJP after being inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu BJP head K Annamali. She claimed that both of them had a vision of “no caste and no religion”.
But the state BJP had sidelined her and minorities in the party, as Muslims and Christians were not offered office-bearing responsibilities.
Alisha wrote on X, “I had joined @BJP4TamilNadu @BJP4India only for @PMOIndia and @annamalai_k because their vision is very clear, No religion ! No caste ! Just pure hardwork, being a renowned sports personality of India, this is very dishearting to see this I have worked 3 yrs really hard for this party, Day & Night! But Sadly Mr. Kesavan Vinayakam, 12 yrs in the party, has done NO good. When I approached him to show my work, he insulted me by walking away! THIS PROVES MUSLIMS HAVE NO PLACE. Sad that all my hard work has gone to thrash!” out of 28 presidents there are No Christians or Muslims!”
