Patritotism? Jaipur traders rename Mysor Pak to Mysore Shree

New Delhi: Amidst the India-Pak tensions, traders in Jaipur have changed the name of the sweet Mysore Pak to Mysore Shri. Apart from Mysore Pak, traders told the media that the 'Pak' of sweets Moti Pak and Gond Pak have also been changed to 'Shri'.

However, the word 'Pak' in Kannada means sweet and has no connection with Pakistan. The dessert made with condensed milk has been named after Mysore in Karnataka.

Traders are trying to show their patriotism by renaming their sweets. Many shops, including Tyohar Sweets and Bombay Mishtan Bandar, have changed the names of their sweets to show solidarity with the country.
