Punjab police arrests 3 arm suppliers, seize 63 pistols from MP

Khargone: Officials informed that the Punjab Police arrested three for illegal arm supplying and seized 63 country-made pistols from them here in Madhya Pradesh, PTI reported.

There were 24 cases registered against the three accused earlier, who worked as arms suppliers, supplying pistols in Punjab, Rajasthan and other states, Punjab State Special Operation Cell's sub-inspector Jagdeep Singh informed.

The arrestees, captured by a police team from Punjab, were identified as Kailash Singh, Sonu Singh and Gorell, Jagdeep Singh said, adding that two named Jai Sharma and Deepak Pratap were arrested last month with four pistols.

According to him, the two arrestees from last month testified before the police during questioning that the pistols were purchased from the freshly arrested three.

Khargone's Superintendent of Police, Dharmveer Singh, said that the arrest was made with the help of Madhya Pradesh police.
