New Delhi: The Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi had a meeting with descendants of Hyderabad Nizam family at Hotel Taj here.
The meeting gathers importance as it came about in the fiefdom of region’s major political leader Asaduddin Owaisi.
Telangana Congress leaders have taken the initiative to arrange the meeting between the congress leaders and the scion of the Nizam family, Najaf Ali Khan.
Najaf Ali Khan shared with Rahul Gandhi the bond that existed between Jawaharlal Nehru and the 7 th Nizam of Hyderabad.
They discussed the political situations in Telangana and Hyderabad.
Welding its bond with Nizam family, the Telangana Congress is trying to woo Muslims who are in awe of Owaisi.
