New Delhi: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday launched the RailOne mobile application, designed to serve as a one-stop digital platform for all passenger-related services in Indian Railways. The launch took place during the 40th Foundation Day celebrations of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).

Available on both Android and iOS platforms, the RailOne app offers a unified interface for accessing multiple railway services, including ticket booking for reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets, train and PNR enquiries, journey planning, onboard meal booking, and rail help services. Additionally, the app provides enquiry facilities for freight-related services as well.

According to a press release by the Railway Ministry, the key objective behind the app is to offer passengers a streamlined and enhanced user experience through an intuitive and simplified interface. The ministry highlighted that the app not only integrates all passenger services into a single platform but also ensures seamless connectivity between these services to deliver a comprehensive Indian Railways experience.

One of the standout features of the RailOne app is its single sign-on capability, allowing users to log in using their existing credentials from the RailConnect or UTSonMobile applications. This eliminates the need to maintain multiple apps or remember different passwords, thereby saving storage space on users' devices.

The app also introduces an integrated R-Wallet (Railway e-wallet) feature and supports easy login options, including numeric mPIN and biometric authentication. New users can register quickly by submitting minimal information, while those seeking only to make enquiries can access the app via a guest login using their mobile number and OTP.

With the RailOne app, Indian Railways aims to simplify digital engagement for passengers by bringing all essential rail services into one accessible and efficient platform.
