Uber has announced a partnership with Refex Green Mobility to introduce 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) across major Indian cities, including Hyderabad, by 2026. This initiative aims to expand eco-friendly travel options on the Uber platform, as reported by the Siasat Daily.

Refex Green Mobility, the subsidiary of Chennai-based Refex Industries, will deploy its electric vehicle fleet under the brand Refex eVeelz across four major Indian cities: Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

Sachin Navtosh Jha, Chief of Staff at Refex Group, noted that this collaboration, combined with Refex's existing fleet of 1,300 company-owned electric four-wheelers, will significantly reduce carbon emissions and drive sustainability.

Aditya Kapoor, Head of Supply and Electrification at Uber India and South Asia, emphasised that the partnership will accelerate Uber's electrification efforts, expanding electric ride options across multiple cities.
