Thodupuzha/Kerala: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the police are implementing the government's stance that there should be no compromise on communalism. The CM was inaugurating the Kerala Police Association state convention.

He said that Kerala has been a land free from communal conflict for nine years, not because there are no communal organisations. Communal organisations that kill people in North India themselves have said that they have the largest organisation structure in Kerala. However, due to the uniqueness of the Kerala society and its firm stand against communalism, communal organisations cannot reveal their true face, the CM from Left Democratic Front said. Vijayan said the state police’s operation also reflects the government’s stand against communal forces.

The police have played a major role in the achievements of Kerala, including in maintaining law and order. The force stands by the people in their hardships, the CM said, citing the example of police involvement in rescue operations during recent natural disasters. He said that the work of the state police is fair and impartial without any interference. However he also added that strict action will be taken against police officers who act without discipline.

In the matter of conflicts in the Middle East, the Kerala CM has strongly voiced his criticism against Israel. On Saturday, he slammed the Zionist state of its deadly offensive into Gaza as well as its fresh attacks on Iran, according to a PTI report. Vijayan urged international community to speak up against Israel to restore peace in the region. Calling Israel a "rogue state", Vijayan said the entire international community must speak out to end the "reckless and unlawful aggression" of Israel against Iran.

The Left veteran, in a post on 'X', reiterated that Israel continues its "brazen and belligerent onslaught across West Asia" with the support of the US.

"Backed by the complicit support of the imperialist power bloc led by the United States, Israel continues its brazen and belligerent onslaught across West Asia.
