Kozhikode: Leaders of the Fraternity Movement announced that they will hold a march on Saturday to theatres across the state screening the film The Kerala Story 2, and that they will stop the film’s screening.

They said that The Kerala Story promotes Islamophobic, Hindutva-driven communal propaganda by targeting Kerala, and that this will not be tolerated.

A day earlier a Division Bench of the Kerala High Court had lifted the interim stay on the release of 'The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond', paving the way for the film’s screening.

The Division Bench, comprising Justices Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and P.V. Balakrishnan, set aside the earlier order of a Single Bench that had stayed the film’s release for 15 days.
