Pahalgam victim’s family from Kerala says ‘Justice was done’ after Operation Sindoor

Arathi, whose father N. Ramachandran was among the 26 people killed in the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, expressed support for the Indian forces and those involved in Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
She said the family had long awaited such action and now felt a sense of relief and justice following the operation.
Arathi, a resident of Kochi, told the media that there won't be any other suitable title for the strikes other than "Operation Sindoor".
Reflecting on the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Arathi recalled that the assailants specifically targeted men, suggesting that the attackers may have intended to leave women behind to endure lasting emotional trauma.
However, she emphasized that Indian women would not be broken by such violence, noting that the country and its systems are capable of delivering a strong response to terrorism, Indian Express reported.
In the aftermath of her father Ramachandran’s killing, Arathi focused on protecting her two young sons and made sure her mother, Sheela, was not immediately told of the tragedy.
She expressed gratitude to two local drivers, Musafir and Sameer, who supported her during the crisis and said that they looked after her as brothers.
On April 25, Arathi and Sheela paid tribute to Ramachandran with a patriotic farewell in Kochi, chanting "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" beside his flower-covered body.
