Doha: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and top diplomats from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states at the Emiri Diwan in Doha. GCC Secretary General Jassim Albudaiwi also took part in the high-level meeting.

The foreign ministers strongly condemned the recent Iranian attack on Qatari territory, calling it a “flagrant violation” of international law and norms of good neighbourliness. They unanimously expressed solidarity with Qatar, asserting that the assault was “unacceptable and unjustifiable under any circumstances".

In addition to regional security concerns, the leaders reviewed the status of joint Gulf initiatives and emphasised the importance of enhanced cooperation among GCC nations. Discussions focused on advancing unified efforts to strengthen regional stability and benefit the people of the member states.
